I am a multidisciplinary artist with a background in theatre and performance, currently living in San Francisco.
I trained in Design for Performance at London’s Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. Since then I have collaborated with companies and individuals – in theatre, on immersive events, on storybooks and with paint on walls – telling stories and activating spaces through design.
All my work, whether wall-art or performance-art, has narrative at its heart. I believe in the power of stories to provoke change and in the community created around a shared vision, embracing the fruitfulness that collaboration brings.
With my London-based theatre company 3Fates I began exploring the notion of ‘performing the design’ in 2012, working on stage during the performance to change the stage picture and reveal the role of the designer. I continued this work with punkkiCo dance company, appearing on stage in 2018 in Controle at ODC Theater, San Francisco.
Environmental sustainability is embedded in all my work. In 2014 I co-founded the Ecostage Pledge: An organisation that helps anyone working in the performing arts to discuss and share ideas around working sustainably.
